Coastal Payroll is currently looking to hire an Accounting Analyst to join our finance team to support various accounting functions including internal audit, billing, and financial reporting.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Billing - Payables and Receivables (external):
  • Prepare accurate and timely invoices for third party customers.
  • Manage payable functions for all vendors.
• Account Reconciliation (internal):
  • Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues identified during the reconciliation process.
  • Maintain documentation of reconciliation activities and support audit requirements.
• Financial Systems and Processes (internal):
  • Utilize accounting software and tools to process transactions, maintain records, and generate reports.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to streamline accounting operations.
• Compliance and Auditing (internal):
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations of financial transactions.
  • Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and regulations and ensure adherence.
• Cross-functional Collaboration (internal):
  • Partner with finance team and reconcile billing data with financial records.
  • Provide support during financial audits and assist in resolving billing-related audit queries.
  • Assist in accounting functions activities as required.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and financial systems.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel or other spreadsheet applications.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
